SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS JEWELRY
Started by accident, Love & Above was created when two best friends participated in a random act of kindness. Founded by Veronica Marziale and Stefania Baccarella.
Love & Above partners with charities and designs produces fashion accessories as a fundraising product. 50% of net-proceeds from all sales are donated to applicable charities.
With the combined skills of Fashion Design (Veronica) and Social Work (Stefania) Love & Above pushes fashion into a socially impactful direction.
Veronica & Stefania design, create and sell all of their products themselves with hopes of spreading awareness and promote a message of positivity and kindness to the community.
LOVE & ABOVE has partnered with charities such as Meta Centre, Creating Alternatives, Navy Street Charity and DIPG research for SickKids Foundation in honour of Jordana Fiorini.
@JORDANASRAINBOWS is an Instagram account in dedication to Jordana Fiorini who gained her angel wings at the young age of 10 on January 22nd 2016 to a rare and inoperable form of paediatric brain cancer called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).
On July 1st, 2016 (co-founder) Stefania Baccarella participated in a kindness challenge posted by @jordanasrainbows. For her act of kindness she pledged to raise $500 for Jordana's fund at SickKids with Wish Bracelets Veronica Marziale had already been making with proceeds going to Charity. Within 24 hours they received an overwhelming number of orders and were able to raise $1,500 dollars. On August 22nd, 2016 the OFFICIAL Jordana's Rainbows Wish Bracelet was launched.
What was once a hope to raise $500 dollars for Jordana's fund turned into $40,000 in 9 months of operation.
Love & Above has expanded their colourful Jordna's Rainbows collection to enamel pins, sterling silver bracelets and pom-pom keychains, all with proceeds benefiting DIPG research at SickKids Foundation.
